    Recovering process

Last weekend was the Pacesetters 30 km run, i missed the hattrick. Dear was pretty busy recently plus my health conditions were not so good to get into another race again, we give it a miss. Nevertheless, Safra MF have a large group led by Alan Chao to KL. I guessed they would do very well. Just got the news that our new core lady runner, Julie, finished in 2nd in the Open's cat - 2 hr 41 min. This timing was a respectable time to finish.

Get back to my training, i was trying to build up my strength and speed so as to bring back my usual running. No more fever, running nose and my health was getting better. I was able to run in front to lead the group for training at Safra. I had done some core muscles exercises but no speed training yet. Some staircase PT to warm up my heart. The first half of 2009 will be quite low key for me, no race except for some 10 km race - Newton run 10 km, probably Suburban run 10 km.

    Sick and sick again

Happy New Year! .. the first post of the year 2009

After the SCSM, i had nursed another 2 rounds of fever. I totally cut off running for 2 weeks right after the marathon. There after my performance dropped 50%, i can no longer did the pace i had for the first half of SCSM. I would want to try it again. But it seemed like whenever my training went into full gear, another round of fever is going to hit me again. What's wrong?

I was suspecting internal strength to be the cause of it. I had bought some tonic or tonic soup cooked by my in-laws and it really helps. But once i embedded into high pace running, i will feel weak on the next day. Hope i can find a formula to solve this sickness problem.
