    Kent Ridge - Harbourfront

     
    Quite a number of new faces joined us these 2 months. I guess running will become quite popular in near future. Today's turnout was around 25, quite respectable considering the off-season training. Some of the big guns like Ricci and Kumaran were back.
     
    The route: Clubhouse -> Depot Rd -> Queensway -> Science Park 1 -> Kent Ridge Park (1.5 rds) -> Pasir Panjang -> Harbourfront -> Kampung Bahru -> Clubhouse
     
    The front group includes myself, Wen Long, Ricci, Kumaran, Weixing (if i remember correctly), Derrick, Darren. We established a respectable pace of sub-5 min. I didn't time my run but i think it should be 1 hr 8 min. My legs were pretty tired after the run.
     
    Wen Long and myself still have another tough training tomorrow. 6 sets of 1600m interval training.

    Training Summary for March

     
    Away from the blog for some time but running still go on. I was involved in the Newton Run, clocked 40 min 17 sec although i felt i should be under 40 min as the gun time clock was clicking 39 min 58 sec when i stepped in the finishing mat.
     
    Training has been getting tougher although there wasn't any race until June. After Newton run, i continued with the good form. Training with Wen Long at the stadium, this guy is a very tough guy. Training 6 sets of a mile in 6:10. As for Safra training, i had done quite a lot seriously.
     
    Yesterday, Laborador Loop:
    1st: 6.29
    2nd: 6.38
    3rd: 6.37
    4th: 6.31
    5th: 6.29
    6th: 6.28
     
    Wen Long & Senior Melvin were chasing hard behind. It was great to train with them. Hardship but shiok.
